Art inspired by the Wisdom found in Nature

This is the mural behind Morning Glory Natural Foods in Brunswick in process.
Originally I was asked to just paint the metal warehouse door, but I thought the large gray areas on either side needed some color too.

Here is early in the process. I first put down a layer of burnt sienna for the earth, and because I like the way green plants contrast against it. As you can see, for awhile there was a bear sketched in, but I deleted him, and later some different bears were added.

I loved using the architectural elements of the warehouse to help give the tree a 3D look.

I put these bears in closer to the end of process. In retrospect, I think I liked the other bear better! I have thought about going back and asking to repaint it.

More photos coming! This is the section with the namesake morning glories growing! Again, loved using structural elements to add to the mural.

Brunswick Recreation Center mural.
This is a very big mural, and this is a small section of the landscape. My daughter posed for the girl reading in the tree.
The mural is on the back side of a walking track around the edge of the Center.
